All that and more!

<--Dave looking majestic

Oye!
Whats up mates? Hopefully no more celebrities have died in the states and you can take a moment from mourning the king of pop to catch up with the king of flannel. Since I last streamed data I have done nothing sort of live the DREAM. Roughly translated that means i have been snowboarding on the fourth of july, eaten the best hamberger ever and even been to an aviary? Yeah so the aviary wasnt that awesome but none the less it is situated in the botanical garden which is literally 100 yards from my flat. I think Im going to try to get an internship with one of the toucans, you know following his nose and what not.
So this past weekend a group of 10 mates and I squaded up and took the bus to Queens
town. A 3 hour bus ride turned into atleast a 4 hour trip after several stops were made and the driver smoked several cigarettes. None the less we arrived under the cover of darkness which was probably to our advantage as we snuck 10 people into a 2 person hotel room. Thanks scenic circle! Needless to say we were super happy to find out that the church across the street was actually, get this, serving free dinner! All the gypsies were pleased and after gorging ourselves on the meatsauce of St. Andrew we headed into town to see if we could find this elusive queen.
We never did find the queen but I did find a sweet as shop in town that rented me a 2010 K2 WWW. Probably the most fun snowboard ever created, i wont go into detail here but if anyone is really wondering hit me up and ill give you the dirt. I guess a
t this point it would be logical to show you a picture of Cornets peak which is where the fourth of July shredding went down.
As you can tell the whole mountain is well above the tree line and you can pretty much just ride where ever. It really makes for some long runs because you can really just cut back and forth as much as your little heart desires. It was truly frighteningly good fun as I spent the day hoping off every roller and trying to do hand plants on every berm.
Needless to say after a full day of getting down with the white winter gnar it was necessary for gypsy camp to take a group nap. So we did. Moving on.
We woke from our slumbers ready to celebrate America's birthday like true legends. We decided to do so by heading to the infamous FERGBERGER. The berger I got from Ferg was easily the tastiest berg I have ever had. Mine had bacon, avocado and all sorts of other lovelies on it. Truly breathtaking.
So from there ensued a wild evening of celebrating America over seas. Actually we really didnt make any sort of American trouble and were all well behaved. Riggggght.
Which brings us to now...
So I register for classes tomorrow and later today Im gonna go see Bruno, yes thats right it comes out two days earlier here. Proving definitively NZ is the best ever. ever.
until next time,
hug your mother and text your brother
Matt
